Recognizing Opener Problems

Clicks But Won't Move

Usually a broken torsion spring putting too much load on the motor, or a stripped drive gear. We check the spring first.

Door Reverses Mid-Close

Safety sensors are misaligned, obstructed, or have a failing wire. A quick alignment fix — usually 15 minutes.

Remote Range Is Poor

LED bulbs can interfere with the radio signal. Antenna damage or logic board issues are also common culprits.

Opener Won't Connect to WiFi

Older openers don't support WiFi natively. A myQ WiFi hub (or new smart opener) solves this entirely.

Grinding / Loud Noise

Drive chain or belt needs lubrication, or the drive gear is worn. Caught early, it's a cheap fix. Ignored, it burns the motor.
